Nursery playroom for Victoria & Charlie

This playroom was designed for a 3 & 4 yo brother and sister - Charlie and Victoria. As their house is currently being renovated, there'll be a big surprise for them once they move back in!

The room was decorated in a lovely light sky blue, and the mural designed to be a soft set of pictures around the room, rather than a feature wall.

Peter Pan leads the Darling children Wendy, John and Michael across one wall, flying through the clouds. Tinkerbell and Nana feature on the opposite wall along with Big Ben and London rooftops. And what London scene would be complete without Mary Poppins thrown in?

This was such a lovely mural to do, and I hope the kids love their surprise!

Adam & Daniel's Dragon

Adam is a gorgeous 6 year old with a lively imagination and a little brother called Daniel (18 months). To liven up their new play room, one wall was to be covered in a dragon mural, incorporating their names.

Following the original sketch, a simplified version was created to suit the time frame the client had in mind. Done in muted colours so as not to be too scary for the little one (and to keep a nice light feeling within the room), the mural features shooting flames over the door and adjacent wall. A scroll was then added with the boys' names, and the dragon's new name (courtesy of Adam!) "Drago" was added to the tail.

Completed in emulsion and acrylics, and sealed with decorator's varnish to help protect it from little fingers, the mural is now ready for the little knights to enjoy!

Tilly's Teddy Bear Picnic

Click on each photo for a larger view
This premiership footballer and his wife were after a playful sweet mural for the nursery of their upcoming new arrival. Not knowing whether it will be a boy or a girl called for some planning!

A teddy bear's picnic mural, complete with meadows, train with zoo animals and kite-flying bunnies provided the base picture.

Once the baby was born, I was to go back for one more day to complete the mural with a suitably coloured kite & bows (blue or pink, of course!).

If baby was a boy, then a plane in the sky pulling a banner with the baby's name was to be added. For a girl, a pretty hot air balloon with bows and girly fun - with a banner spelling out her name...... and several weeks later..... their lovely daughter was born and I returned to add the balloon and detailing.

The mural was completed on an existing mounted board in acrylics and emulsion, giving the new baby a room with a view!

This playroom wall got an amazing makeover! Three year old twins Zac and Olivia were like most children - they had so many favourite characters it was only fair to put them all in there!

After consulting with the parents on different elements of the picture, the mural design was signed off and the mural began to take shape.

The finished mural contains Mary Poppins, Tinkerbell, Woody & Buzz, Ariel, Mickey & Goofy, Piglet, Lumiere and Donald - plenty to look at!

A fun mural to paint, for an adorable pair of little clients
